    Sleepy time….
    Time…
    The creation of TIME.
El Shaddai then appears to Abram..calls him Abraham and the moment when time begins..BEGINS!..In the Beginning..
Wow Brooke..I love this..And what’s truly wonderful is that you make your “journey” public. A learner who is AT THE SAME TIME, A TEACHER. It is a great gift. In response to something you just wrote a couple of days ago: just do what comes naturally..there is no need to TRY. The only real choice you have..after schlepping the camera equipment with you…is to do just this..the less “thought” the more Wisdom…every human being has it…the choice to let ..it..be..is the only choice.
Wish I could put a million stars up there!
    Ops..Maybe they are there anyway.

Very cool! I’ve never heard that Creation myth before. The boredom of Brahman in the story is a neat twist.

I think the philosopher George Berkeley had a similar understanding of creation, although God would be conscious all the time rather than unconscious. Everything that exists would be an idea in the mind of God. But the thought of God dreaming it all really is cool.

It seems that up until the modern era, dreams more commonly were thought to have divine influence. Now we just think they’re because of something disagreeable we ate for dinner!

As always, a masterful telling of a way cool story 🙂 So much so I re-posted on my blog too (http://bit.ly/d6QTKL). I must now work diligently to integrate this concept into my ever-growing spiritual understanding. Conversations with God is an awesome series and one may think that trying to incorporate the Brahman story simply won’t work but in reality, it’s the only way it can work 🙂 Thanks Brooke.
